Ural Federal University Celebrates Russian Science Day
On February 8, the Ural Federal University celebrated the Day of Russian Science. Rector Victor Koksharov, along with Vice-Rectors for Research and Information Policy Alexander Germanenko and Aleksey Fayustov, congratulated the scientists and journalists who cover the research of the university staff. The rector acknowledged the contribution of his colleagues to the development of society and progress, summarized the scientific results of the past year, and announced plans for 2024.
“I wish our scientists luck and success in their research and development. Discoveries often require a small push, a hint, or a fortunate accident. May these fortunate occasions happen as often as possible. The rest, I am confident, you can and will do on your own. We will continue to support you and strive to create comfortable conditions for your research.,” said Victor Koksharov.
The university administration expressed gratitude towards journalists who report on the accomplishments of scientists and the findings of researchers.
“Colleague journalists, I would like to express my gratitude to you for your coverage of the research conducted by UrFU scientists. Thank you for explaining the significance of these developments not only for businessmen and entrepreneurs but also for ordinary people. Your reporting helps to demonstrate how the work of scientists can make life better, more comfortable, and healthier, and can even prolong longevity”, says the head of the university.
Alexander Germanenko noted the scientific achievements of the students. The Vice-rector for Research stated that the university has many talented young individuals who participate in research and scientific teams, eventually becoming young scientists from their initial courses.
