Ural Federal University: Challenges and Modern Technologies of Working with Youth Discussed at UrFU

On the birthday of the Department of Organization of Work with Youth, Ural Federal University launched an international youth research conference “State Youth Policy: Challenges and Modern Technologies of Working with Youth”. About 200 students, teachers, managers and specialists from five countries started the work.

Conference participants will discuss the research results within the framework of three discussion platforms: “Social and professional activity of young people”, “Prevention of destructive and extremist manifestations in the youth environment”, “Social deviations of young people: the manifestations, dynamics, prevention”.

The conference is held in the year of the 90th anniversary of Ural Federal University Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy. In his speech at the opening ceremony, the director of the Institute Evgeny Shurmanov noted that the participants will discuss the problems of realization of youth innovative potential in the conditions of modern challenges in the sphere of state youth policy and develop proposals on increasing social and professional activity of youth, prevention of destructive and extremist manifestations in youth environment and social deviations of youth. This will allow the development of modern technologies used in the youth sphere of different countries.

At the plenary session, Oleg Gushchin, Director of the Department of Youth Policy of the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of Sverdlovsk region, presented the analysis of challenges and modern technologies of working with youth in the framework of state youth policy. In turn, Dmitry Khorvat, Director of the Center for Patriotic and Cultural and Moral Education of National Research Technological University “MISIS”, reported on the role of patriotic and cultural and moral education in the socialization and increase of social activity of young people.

The rector of the Russian-Tajik Slavonic University (Republic of Tajikistan) Tohir Hojazoda, vice-rector for science of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin Valery Lelevkin, dean of the faculty of philosophy and political science of Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi Bekzhan Meirbaev and other authoritative experts also took part in the opening of the conference. The moderator was Aleksander Ponomarev, head of the Department of Organization of Work with Youth at Ural Federal University.
