Ural Federal University Delegation Participates In Mongolian Alumni Association Celebration
The tenth anniversary of the Mongolian Alumni Association of UPI, UrSU and UrFU was celebrated in Ulaanbaatar. The event was attended by a delegation of the Ural Federal University led by the rector Victor Koksharov.
Victor Koksharov noted that the university appreciates the support of alumni from Mongolia, many of whom hold important positions in the country’s leadership.
“It is wonderful that you keep the warmth of your alma mater in your hearts, continue to cooperate with us, and remember your professors and mentors. I especially thank the benefactors of the university’s endowment fund,” the rector said.
Twelve participants received letters of appreciation and gifts. Proceeds from the Mongolia endowment are used to provide scholarships to students from the republic who have demonstrated academic and scientific achievement.
According to Aleksandr Ponomarev, Executive Director of the Alumni Association of UPI, UrSU, and UrFU, the Mongolian branch is one of the most active and not indifferent to the development of relations with Russia.
“Many of our alumni hold leadership positions in key companies in Mongolia. This allows us to connect in a variety of areas in education, science, and cultural exchange,” he emphasized.
On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the association organized a sports party attended by more than 100 people.
