Ural Federal University: Evgeny Kuyvashev Approved Funding for the UIREC in 2022

The government of the Sverdlovsk Region under the chairmanship of Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev introduced amendments into the state program “Development of Industry and Science in the Sverdlovsk Region until 2024”.

“First of all, we will correct the volume of financing of the state program for industry development. In particular, 200 million rubles will be allocated to support participants of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center”, the governor said.

For example, the 2022 budget of the Sverdlovsk region budgeted 100 million rubles for the development of the World-class Ural Interregional Research and Education Center (UIREC), and the project participants will invest at least another 100 million.

As a reminder, the key areas of UIREC activity are aerospace, energy and industrial ecology. New materials and new production technologies are the cross-cutting core competencies.
