Ural Federal University: Experts Discuss Modern Non-Ferrous Metals Production Technologies at the University

At the Ural Federal University the international conference “Modern Non-Ferrous Metals Production Technologies” started. It is held in honor of the anniversary of Stanislav Naboychenko. At the plenary session the conference participants watched a short film about the famous rector of the Ural State Technical University (now Ural Federal University), who also headed the Department of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy for many years.

“Stanislav Naboychenko has come to his jubilee with a considerable baggage of successes in his profession, social life and creative self-actualization. An evident proof of this is his unquestionable authority in the academic community, which is based on the results of scientific work and extensive experience in managing the university. His initiatives in the issues of implementation of the University scientists’ developments in the real production are of great respect. This contributed to the development of domestic science and made the country’s economy even more competitive,” said Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU, at the opening of the conference.

About a hundred scientists and representatives of industrial enterprises from Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan attended the conference. Among them were Ulugbek Ergashev, Deputy Head of Technology Department of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine; Sergey Yakornov, Deputy Technical Director of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company; Yuri Korol, Vice President of Russian Copper Company for production controlling and investment; Mikhail Naftal, Deputy Director of NPP Kvalitet; Ilya Fomenko, General Director of Nietz Technologies; Vladimir Bazhin, Head of Department of automation of technological processes and production at Saint Petersburg Mining University.

After the plenary session, the conference participants began their work in sections.
