Ural Federal University: Government Decides to Let All Foreign Students into Russia

The Operational Headquarters for Prevention of Coronavirus Infection Importation and Spreading agreed to allow foreigners to enter Russia to study, and the Ministry of Education and Science has developed and will soon approve the necessary regulations, the ministry told RBC.

When all the regulations are approved, foreign students will be able to come, settle in the dormitories and continue their studies. The Minister Valery Falkov promised that for those who can not come, distant learning will be organized. Adult foreign students can also get vaccinated against coronavirus by returning to Russian universities.

“Foreign students who have not yet been vaccinated and express a desire to do so, will certainly be granted such an opportunity by Russian universities,” said Minister.

Previously, only students from countries that have regular air traffic with Russia could return to full-time study. At the same time, students from countries not included in this list could not enter Russia through open countries in order to resume their studies.
