Ural Federal University Hosts ‘Peak IT’ Event with Over 2000 Participants

The Peak IT event took place at the Ural Federal University on March 15 and 16. Over 2,000 participants, including schoolchildren and students, attended the event.

On the first day, students had the opportunity to visit an exhibition of IT companies. Representatives from these organizations provided information on how to obtain an internship or a staff position. Additionally, beginners and advanced IT specialists had the chance to attend lectures and master classes from more than 20 invited IT experts.

It is crucial to demonstrate to students the potential of their profession and to inspire a passion for technological progress and innovation. This will ensure that their student years are as productive as possible. On the first day of the event, representatives from the country’s largest IT companies participated in an open discussion. The discussion included representatives from hh.ru, UDV Group, Tinkoff, Kontur, and Yandex. Ilya Obabkov, Director of the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems, moderated the discussion.

The results of the Peak IT Olympiad were summarized on the second day. Over 600 students in grades 9-11 participated. The winners and runners-up received +3 points towards their computer science USE results for admission to UrFU.

Employer partners presented vacancies and internships from companies such as 1C, Sinara Bank, SKB Lab, Tinkoff, Sber, USSC, Greenatom, Naumen, Artsofte, and others. Kontur was the general partner of the event.
