The representative of the university informed the applicants – high school students and students of educational institutions of these countries – as well as their parents about the educational, scientific, and other opportunities of the university.
Within the framework of the event in Egypt, the chief expert and specialist of the representative office of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Egypt, Denis Pronnikov, and the advisor of the Russian House in Cairo, Diana Ivanova, spoke about opportunities to study in Russian universities within Russian Government scholarship.
18 Russian universities participated in the exhibition. Egyptian school and university students learned about educational programs and opportunities for foreign students in Russia. Among the guests and visitors of the exhibition were heads of leading Egyptian universities and schools, famous graduates of Russian and Soviet universities, applicants interested in Russian education, and their parents. In total, more than a thousand visitors visited the exhibition during one day.
Besides the exhibition in Egypt, the UrFU representative participated in the exhibition of Russian universities in Tunisia. The Russian Cultural Center in Tunisia – the Russian House in Tunisia – confirmed that the exhibition aroused great interest in the city. It was not only the first introductory exhibition for Russian universities, but also, in general, the first Russian exhibition of this size in the second most important industrial city of the country.
The event, held at the Sfax International Fair, was attended by more than 500 people, including high school and university students, citizens, and representatives of local educational organizations.
On the first day, representatives of the Tunisian Association of Professors of Russian Language and Literature participated in the exhibition, they helped the participants to communicate and also talked about the prospects of studying the Russian language in Tunisia.
The Ural Federal University thanks the Russian House and the Russian Embassy in Tunisia, as well as the Russian House and the Russian Embassy in Egypt for organizing the exhibition and hopes for further cooperation in promoting Russian education.
