Ural Federal University: Inclusive Management Tournament Was Held

Ural Federal University’s Department of Academic Development and the White Cane Nonprofit Organization organized an inclusive management tournament at “Boiling Point – Ekaterinburg”. More than 90 students and pupils competed in the individual competition for the title of the winner.

The game was refereed by professional judges of the Federation of Managerial Matches, representatives of the business community: Igor Kazakov, Commercial Director of Outsource-Bureau Lefterova, Anton Shvetsov, Director of Kontrast Company, Ekaterina Anisimova, expert of Sberbank’s Special Solutions Division, Diana Mustafina, Executive Director of Sberbank’s Special Solutions Division, and others.

“The matches were tense and fascinating, the students showed themselves from unexpected sides and showed high negotiation skills,” said Alena Nevolina, Head of the Academic Development Department at UrFU.

For several months, together with a coach and mentors, the students were trained in management control, and in the finals, the most successful of them put their knowledge into practice.

“This year, students of the Martirosyan School, students of the UrFU Specialized Education and Research Center met in matches with students of the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University and Ural Federal University. Students with impaired vision negotiated on equal terms with the other participants. They were united by their eagerness to cooperate, ability to listen, to navigate quickly in a situation, and to agree on mutually beneficial terms. Attentive seconds, a powerful fan audience, objective judges – all this created an atmosphere of extravagance and managerial matches,” said Tatiana Vladimirova, Professional Arbiter from Krasnodar, Chairman of the Federation of Managerial Matches.

The winner Svetlana Noskova by a vote of the judges got 13 votes, the second and third places were taken by students of Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University Denis Balyagutdinov and Maxim Ivanov, respectively.
