Ural Federal University: KAMAZ Days to Take Place at University

This fall the Ural Federal University plans to hold the Days of KAMAZ – an event to acquaint students with the possibilities of KAMAZ company as a place for future work and development. This was agreed at the international industrial exhibition Innoprom-2022 by Victor Koksharov, Rector of Ural Federal University, and Sergey Kogogin, CEO of the country’s largest truck manufacturer.

“Development of interaction between KAMAZ and the university in the field of engineering and training of engineering personnel for the development of modern engine models is the priority task that we are solving now with KAMAZ, which has become our key partner in the Advanced Engineering Schools project,” notes Victor Koksharov.

At the same time, according to the rector, it is planned to develop a production base, which will make it possible to produce prototypes to test new developments.

“Science, real production and business – only in such a tight alliance is it possible to create the necessary initial conditions and ensure the high quality of education and training of competent specialists, which the modern industry needs. Today KAMAZ successfully solves real production and business tasks, creating high-tech, demanded by the country vehicles. Joining efforts with such strongest and leading higher education institutions of the country as UrFU allows us to be confident in the success of our new initiatives,” emphasized Sergey Kogogin.

As a reminder, UrFU has been selected at the federal level and will receive 84.5 million rubles from the Russian budget this year to implement the program for the development of the Ural Advanced Engineering School “Digital Manufacturing”.
