The Ural Federal University opened a stand of famous graduates from Kyrgyzstan. In his speech at the opening, Victor Koksharov, Rector of the Ural Federal University, noted that the university has graduated a large number of specialists who are now successfully working in various sectors of the economy of Kyrgyzstan.

“We are proud of them and we do our best to get as many students from this country as we can. Nowadays the need for such graduates is very great. In particular, Kyrgyzstan has big plans to develop the mining and metallurgical industries. To solve all these problems you cannot do without the appropriate specialists. I am sure that some time will pass and the photos on the stand will be supplemented with photos of those who are still students today and will glorify Kyrgyzstan in the near future and work for its prosperity,” Koksharov said.

The rector of the Ural Federal University was supported by Ruslan Biybosunov, Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ekaterinburg.

“The university has really done a lot to train the personnel that work for us today. It is very important that this tradition be continued and that the university continue to produce new specialists. I am very pleased that we are opening a booth today with our famous countrymen. I would like to wish our students to study well, to master the specialties that the republic needs, and to contribute to the development of our country,” emphasized Biybosunov.

The stand of famous graduates from Kyrgyzstan is installed in the main academic building of the university near classroom I-322a. The list of famous graduates is headed by Zharasul Abduraimov, the current head of Kyrgyzindustry.

“When I was a student here, I never thought my picture would make the stand. I always say that I have been a lifelong learner. I had great teachers, people who are experts. I am very pleased to be here today, at my beloved university, to work further. I would like to appeal to current students – come to us at Kyrgyzindustry, we always have a job for you,” said Zharasul Abduraimov.

On the same day, Abduraimov talked to the students of the Ural Federal University and took part in a meeting of the university’s Academic Council, at which he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the university.

During the meeting with the university administration, Zharasul Abduraimov stated the need of enterprises of the republic for specialists to work on digital machines and noted that agreements on short-term internships at the Experimental Production Plant have already been reached. He also thanked specialists of the university for creating opportunities to improve the skills of engineering personnel. Leading schools of Bishkek and Osh will be included in the process. For example, Jarkyn Bapanova, director of the Altyn Tuiyun Children’s Engineering Academy, said she was ready to organize a stage of the UrFU Izumrud Olympiad for students in mathematics, physics and computer science for students in grades 8-10.

“Today the university is not only an educational hub, but also a technology transfer center, designed to accelerate their introduction into production. Thus, by the decision of the federal government, the university is forming a large engineering center capable of supporting the full cycle of industrial orders: from digital models to finished samples. The Ural Federal University relies on partners all over the world. Of course, we would like to strengthen our cooperation with Kyrgyz partners, especially taking into account the commissioning of new dormitories this year and next year,” added Victor Koksharov.
