Ural Federal University: Luhansk and Donetsk Students To Receive Books

Students and lecturers of four Sverdlovsk universities: Ural Federal University, Ural State University of Economics, Ural State Law University and the Liberal Arts University, with the support of the Sverdlovsk Regional Government and the International Fund “The Way for Peace”, collected and sent hundreds of books: educational, methodological and scientific publications – for university libraries of Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

“I appreciate the efforts by the Institutes of Ural Federal University, as well as its partners, who took up the offer from the Sverdlovsk Regional Government. The idea to collect and send scientific and educational literature to educational institutions of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics is very important now,” commented Sergey Tushin, UrFU Vice-Rector for International Relations.

The action took place within the framework of the First International Forum “The Law of the Future” on the sites of the South Ural State University and Chelyabinsk State University. The event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the USSR and the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.

“Books on history, philosophy, Russian language and Russian literature are in high demand in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, and we expect that the fact that the students know that these books are from the Sverdlovsk Region, Ekaterinburg and UrFU, may encourage them to connect their future with our university,” added Sergey Tushin.
