Ural Federal University Makes Comic Book About Problems Of Autistic People
The comic book dedicated to the problems of people with autism spectrum disorder will be created in Ekaterinburg. This was announced by Ilya Markov, the head of the cultural department of the city administration, at a TASS press conference on March 29.
“One of the main highlights of this year was the launch of a competition to create a comic book dedicated to autism issues. We are doing this together with the Ural Federal University and the Gikkon Festival. The first goal of the contest is that the child or the family who creates the comic book will obviously be immersed in these problems. Secondly, we believe that comics as a product, as a kind of visual information, can be more in demand than the usual academic brochure,” Markov said.
According to Markov, comics are becoming more and more popular. The main prize of the contest will be the printing of the comic and its distribution in the city libraries. Submissions will be accepted until April 2.
