The Ural Federal University celebrated Russian Student Day. The UrFU Student Union organized a party with flowers, photo zones and mead. Roses were given to each Tatiana who came to the party.

The Students Union paid tribute to traditions and omens that help students feel less nervous before exams. For example, students received bracelets with coins, bookmarks in the shape of a clover, and planting kits, as the clover is a symbol of good luck. The celebration took place in eight of the university’s buildings.

“Student life is an interesting, but at the same time responsible period of life. I wish all the students of our university to develop in their chosen direction, to work successfully for professionalism every day. Make the best of your studies so that the years spent at the Ural Federal University will be remembered with warmth for the rest of your life”, said Victor Koksharov, Rector of the Ural Federal University.

In addition, the active students met with the rectorate of the university. For example, the students asked how to become successful in science, how to publish in cited scientific journals, how to create brands of institutes, as well as questions about the development of practice-oriented education. Valentina Ovchinnikova, Deputy Vice-Rector for Project-Based Learning and Complementary Professional Education, noted that by 2025 it is planned to implement project-based learning in 95% of educational programs.
