Ural Federal University: Online-Meeting with Prospective Students from Chile
On June 1, an online presentation of Ural Federal University and its Russian Language School was organized in the Russian House in Santiago.
Prospective students from Chile attended the meeting and could learn about UrFU, its programs – Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD – in Russian and English, research activities. The future applicants also learned about extracurricular social events at the university: Orientation Week, Friendship of Nations Festival, Language Club, Student Theater, Sports Clubs and competitions etc. Tomas from Argentina and Melanie from Ecuador presented UrFU Institute of Humanities. Norman from Mexico told about his university – UrFU Graduate School of Economics and Management – and his studies in International Management and World Economics.
The university team was represented by Elizaveta Golousova, Associate Professor of the Department of Periodical Press and Online Media of the Faculty of Journalism, and Evgenia Saburova, Head of UrFU International Marketing Office.
The Chilean audience were active during the meeting. The university staff received a lot of questions, positive feedback and requests for applications. According to the Russian House in Santiago, the number of young people interested in studying in Russia and at Russian universities is increasing.
For the Ural Federal University, this presentation is the first in Chile. The university unveils a new country and looks forward to welcoming Chilean students soon!
