Ural Federal University: Performances by DJs and a Cover Band Highlight of the Graduation Ceremony

Graduates of Ural Federal University are always excitedly awaiting the day when they can all shout the cherished “Diplomas to all!” on the square in front of the main academic building, and then go singing and dancing until morning. But since 2020, the last stage of the UrFU graduation was canceled due to coronavirus restrictions. This time the graduates awaited the holiday in its entirety. To find out what the organizers prepared for the graduation on July 2, please, read the latest issue of the Ural Federal newspaper (№ 11 dated June 6).

First, the students will traditionally receive their diplomas at their home institutions and take pictures with their professors and classmates. Then they will go to the square in front of the main academic building to watch a spectacular show and finally say #diplomastoall.

The culmination of the celebration will be the third stage of the “Faces of the Ural Federal: Got It” – a party, which has been awaited for two years.

“The third stage is a special part of graduation. This year we call this stage “Faces” – by analogy with the grand party for new Ural Federal University students. Thousands of students gather for a kind of afterparty to say goodbye to the university and their classmates. The organizers make a fantastic effort to make the graduation party a memorable experience and a summation of years of study at the university. This year, the third stage will have two venues at once: the main one – with famous DJs and cover bands, and a street one – a lounge format with young performers and chill out,” said Oybek Partov, Chairman of the UrFU Student Union and Project Manager.

There will also be raffles, photo-zones, gifts and special prizes for the best graduates of the traditionally best university.

Tickets are now on sale, and 2022 graduates can buy them at a discount and invite their friends with them. Learn more here.

As always, the newspaper presents a selection of relevant and useful information about the life of the university.
