Ural Federal University: Pre-accelerator Started at the University for the First Time

The Ural Federal University Pre-Accelerator, which is being organized for the first time by the university’s innovation infrastructure, will be the first growth stepping stone for aspiring start-ups. More than 20 project teams have joined the pre-accelerator, which have passed the preliminary selection and have already started their way to success.

“Pre-accelerator includes a universal basic knowledge course, which is necessary for projects at the initial stage of development as a starting point for further advancement. It involves work on both the technological and commercial sides of startups. The pre-accelerator trackers as well as professional speakers will help the teams to work individually with the trackers and assign tasks, relevant to the specifics of each startup. According to the results of the pre-accelerator stage, the best teams will have an opportunity to continue working on the project in the accelerator of Ural Federal University,” said Elena Molchanova, Director of the acceleration center of Ural Federal University.

As experts note, the most promising projects will be able to get support not only in the form of knowledge.

“Among the projects that will be developed within the pre-accelerator, there are interesting startups. The best projects, especially those related to import substitution, which is very relevant today, will be supported in finding business partners and financing,” emphasized Eduard Moskalenko, Director of the Ural Federal University Innovation Development Fund.
