Ural Federal University: Psychology Students Help the 122 Contact Center Work
Senior psychology students at Ural Federal University will help the 122 Contact Center Sverdlovsk region on issues of partial mobilization. The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the region and Ural Federal University agreed to work together.
“Now it will be possible to get psychological support on the telephone hotline “122” in addition to advice on partial mobilization,” said Mikhail Ponomarkov, acting Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Sverdlovsk region.
Psychologists will be with the operators and, if necessary, will help to release the stress or provide emotional support to the caller.
“From October 11 volunteers who are undergraduate students who study in educational programs “Clinical Psychology” and “Social Work”, as well as teachers will be involved in the work of the contact center”, explained Elvira Symanyuk, director of the Ural Institute of Humanities of Ural Federal University.
Volunteers will also work with the contact center operators themselves, who are under a lot of stress, including their emotional ones. They will organize training sessions to help them improve their professional skills and prevent professional burnout.
