Ural Federal University Ranked Among The Top Five Universities For Programmers
The Ural Federal University has been ranked fifth among Russian universities which train programmers and IT specialists. In the new rating compiled by online school Skillfactory, UrFU managed to beat most of the country’s leading universities, including those in the capital. The rating methodology took into account passing grades, tuition fees and various advantages for students offered by the universities.
Commenting on the university’s position in the rating, the rector of the Ural Federal University, Victor Koksharov, noted that this is a serious achievement that reflects the quality and demand for the university’s educational programmes in the field of IT.
“We are constantly improving our IT training programmes in cooperation with leading partner companies in the field – Kontur, UCSB, Naumen,” says Koksharov. – This allows us to provide students with up-to-date knowledge and skills and meet the modern requirements of the labour market. The university employs experienced faculty, has modern equipment and infrastructure, and helps students find jobs and develop their careers. There is also a programme to support talented students.”
