Ural Federal University Scholars Join Nuclear Potential Project
UrFU students became participants in the Nuclear Potential educational program. It is a competition of research papers and engineering developments for students of the Ural Power Engineering Institute that started on March 20 and will continue until April 10. Participants will receive up-to-date knowledge in the field of energy at various master classes and trainings.
The main purpose of the competition is to find and support talented students of engineering and technical specialties. Special attention is paid to those who carry out research and participate in project activities, capable of technical creativity and innovative thinking.
“I like the fact that students can prove themselves in the field of science without having to know a lot of abstruse things or have a lot of skills. They can acquire all this at the competition. It shows that science has become more accessible,” said Nika Sharipova, head of the project.
The first master class “Effective Presentation. How to sell yourself and your project at a high price” will take place on March 28. Participants will learn all about proper presentation and self-presentation, as well as take a tour of the company itself.
“I thank the teachers for their very important work and the students for their enthusiasm to learn new knowledge and skills. I believe that education is much more effective when there is a synergy between the educational institution and the company. When students can see many things in practice and talk to people in the company. We are ready to help and host future specialists,” said Dmitry Geld, director of the EL5-Energo branch.
