Ural Federal University Strengthens Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan
This week the Ural Federal University was visited by a delegation of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. The delegation was headed by Kunduz Bazakeeva, Dean of the Faculty of State and Municipal Administration.
The delegation from Kyrgyzstan met with the management of the UrFU School of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship headed by Alexey Klyuev. The guests also held three open lectures for the students of the school. Izdevaldy Iskakov spoke about the formation of the Institute of Local Self-Government, Kunduz Bazakeeva about the system of public administration, and Gulsaira Nurmatova about the electoral system of Kyrgyzstan. The guests spoke at the sections of the X International Scientific and Practical Conference “Strategies of Development of Social Communities, Institutions and Territories”. In addition, they took part in a scientific seminar to discuss the issues of future joint research, as well as the direction of cooperation in the field of social policy and management.
At the end of the visit, the guests met with Sergey Tushin, Vice-Rector for International Relations of UrFU. The participants discussed the plan of scientific and educational cooperation for 2024-2025 on the organization of joint scientific research and publications, and the mobility of students and teachers. This plan has already been agreed and is at the stage of signing.
“We are interested in further close cooperation with the Ural Federal University. It is our strategic partner with whom we manage to find common ground on mutually beneficial terms. We are interested in the development of international cooperation through the development of academic mobility and scientific research with the world’s leading scientists. All this undoubtedly contributes to our competitiveness at the global level”, Kunduz Bazakeeva said at the end of the visit.
In the fall of 2023, UrFU and the Kyrgyz National University signed a renewed cooperation agreement. Soon the sides concluded and are already implementing this semester an agreement on a network educational program in the field of state and municipal management.
