Ural Federal University Strengthens Scientific and Educational Collaboration with Iran
The Ural Federal University is expanding its connections with Eastern countries in science and education. This week, Victor Koksharov, the Rector of UrFU, signed two memoranda of understanding with two universities in Iran: the Allameh Tabataba’i University and the University of Zanjan.
“Cooperating with universities in Iran can bring many benefits to educational institutions and our countries. We are interested in sharing experiences and transferring knowledge in various fields of science and education. Joint projects will facilitate the exchange of students and teachers, expand academic opportunities, and accelerate joint research by our scientists. Cooperation strengthens international ties and promotes cultural understanding,” the rector notes.
During the visit of the Russian delegation to Tehran, headed by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky, the memoranda were signed.
Victor Koksharov participated in the 17th meeting of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, which was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. Additionally, he met with Hassan Zamanian, Deputy Minister of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
