Ural Federal University: Students and Alumni of the University Successfully Performed in Arm Wrestling Competitions

From 13th to 14th of November Ekaterinburg held championship and championship of the Ural Federal District in armwrestling. The strongest athletes from Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Sverdlovsk regions and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra fought for the title of the best.

Six students of Ural Federal University performed at the championship among youth, they won six medals. Anton Petrov (80 kg category) and Ivan Burdukov (75 kg) took the gold. Alexey Zadiraka (80 kg), Alexander Shamarin (70 kg) and Alexandra Schukina (55 kg) got silver, Leonid Zakharov (60 kg) got bronze.

Students and graduates of Ural Federal University also performed at the championship in the adult category. Anna Osintseva (50 kg) won gold, Nadezhda Irtuganova (70 kg), Alexander Voblikov (100 kg) and Anastasia Sheiba (55 kg) won silver.

In addition, Ural Federal University students Eldar Bubenko and Anton Petrov, who are champions of Russia, will fly to Romania as part of the national team on November 22 for the World Armwrestling Championship.
