Ural Federal University: The First Graduation of Medical Biochemistry Students Occurred

For the first time, Ural Federal University has graduated students with a degree in Medical Biochemistry. Each graduate will receive the qualification of physician-biochemist. 20 students of the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics (Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics) graduated from the course of six years having successfully defended their final theses works.

The main external specialist in clinical laboratory diagnostics of the Ministry of Health of Sverdlovsk region and the heads of clinical diagnostic laboratories of the city were present at the defense of their diplomas. They noted the high level of the presented graduate theses, because their preparation requires both a solid theoretical knowledge and skills of work in the laboratory, and the ability to analyze the results and present them to colleagues.

According to the results of the defense, the students were offered jobs in specialized organizations, as well as targeted places in clinical residency. During the graduation ceremony, the graduates gave the Hippocratic Oath, which is given in all medical schools in Russia.
