Ural Federal University to Send 2000 Volunteers to World Friendship Games
2000 volunteers will assist the participants of the World Friendship Games to be held in Ekaterinburg in September. Another 80 people will accompany the Morning Ural Federal District Youth Forum at the UrFU campus in Novokoltsovsky. The volunteers are being recruited by the UrFU Volural volunteer organization. Anton Belov, Head of the UrFU Department of Social and Educational Work and Coordinator of the Volunteers of the Volural, talked about the plans for the coming months during a press conference at TASS-Ural.
“The Friendship Games are one of the biggest events for Ekaterinburg. Four sports facilities will be involved, and competitions will be held in eight sports. We need the help of 2,000 volunteers to make sure that everything goes off at a high level. You can gain experience in different areas: from assistance in accreditation to being an attaché to teams,” said Anton Belov.
You can apply to volunteer at the World Friendship Games until July 1.
In addition to that, the summer will also see traditional events for Volunteers of the Urals, such as the Innoprom exhibition, Summer University at UrFU, sports competitions, and marathons. In total, since the beginning of the year, the center has supported more than 36 events attended by 800 volunteers.
