Ural Federal University: University Alumnus Takes High Position in Mongolian Government

Ural Federal University alumnus Battogtokh Choijilsuren has been appointed Minister of Energy of Mongolia.

Battogtokh Choijilsuren previously worked as director of SP-Kaman, Director of the private enterprise Hurd Ch and Director of Hurd Huns. He has also served as Deputy Chief of the Mongolian President’s Office, a member of the State Great Hural, and Minister of Finance of Mongolia.

Since 2021, Battogtokh Choijilsuren has been the Chairman of the Mongolian Alumni Association of UrFU and a member of the Mongolia Endowment Fund Board. He has been awarded the Medal of Honor of the 800th Anniversary of the Founding of Great Mongolia and the Order of the Polar Star.

Aleksandr Ponomarev expresses special gratitude to the famous alumnus for creating the Mongolia Endowment Fund, which helps Ural Federal University students from Mongolia to realize their own educational, scientific and social potential. The Mongolian Alumni Association of UrFU headed by him is a very active, leading alumni community, an example for other foreign and Russian representative offices of the Association.
