Ural Federal University: University and Sberbank Agree to Cooperate on Digitalization

Digitalization of the educational process will be one of the areas of cooperation between Sber and Ural Federal University in the coming year. The parties signed an agreement on this at the Innoprom-2022 international industrial exhibition. Dmitry Sukhoverkhov, Chairman of the Ural Bank of Sberbank, and Victor Koksharov, Rector of Ural Federal University, signed the document.

“Sber has been a partner of UrFU for many years, and I am sure that the new agreement will make our cooperation even more productive. Digitalization is increasingly integrating into the educational process, adding new opportunities, which, of course, should be used. Eventually, this will improve the quality of education for our students and make them more competitive in the labor market. I am sure that cooperation with one of the largest banks in Russia will be an important step in solving this urgent task. The development of the national economy directly depends on it,” said Victor Koksharov.

The parties intend to develop cooperation in other areas, including the formation of a system of continuous practice-oriented education of students within the educational cluster “university-employer”, joint research, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, presentations and meetings on topics of mutual interest, organization of internships and work placements for Ural Federal University students in Sber units, implementation of retraining and professional development programs.

“For many years we have been closely cooperating with the Ural Federal University, which is a provider of highly qualified specialists, including those in the IT sphere and economy – industries that are especially important for Sberbank. Our task within the framework of the signed agreement is to identify areas for expanding cooperation and get a synergetic effect from cooperation,” said Dmitry Sukhoverkhov.

The partnership is planned to be carried out in constant consultative and informational interaction. Additional agreements may be concluded to specify certain areas of cooperation.
