Ural Federal University: University Has Confirmed Its Status as One of the Leading Universities in Russia

Ural Federal University ranked 14th in the national ranking according to Interfax. UrFU achieved the best results in the Brand and Social Environment parameters – 9th place in these two groups.

“By maintaining our leadership in the Greater Urals, we annually confirm our high status in the country. This is facilitated both by maintaining the quality of education and research at the level of the world’s leading institutions, and by new technologies: project-based learning and individual trajectories for students, as well as the initiative to create and develop the Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center,” notes Victor Koksharov, rector of UrFU.

In addition, UrFU is noted among the major classical universities that have developed new graduate educational programs in 2020.

“Ural Federal University is a powerful intellectual center of Russia and the Urals. Mutually beneficial ties with machine-building, high-tech companies contribute to the constant and comprehensive development of the university. Ekaterinburg with its several strong universities and other regions of the Urals jointly develop world-class scientific and educational centers, of which Ural Federal University remains the core,” the study emphasizes.

According to the compilers, the consolidated rating was formed on the basis of six parameters: education, research, social environment, international and inter-regional cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and brand.

The national ranking of universities was published today for the twelfth time by Interfax Information Group. The study is conducted annually to evaluate Russian universities that meet the best international standards.
