The Ural Federal University, together with its partners, has opened a representative center in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state in southern India. The center will promote the UrFU brand of quality international education and enroll students primarily in English-language Master’s programs.

“Academic partners in India have not diminished their interest in working with us. New opportunities are opening up, such as creating joint educational programs and preparing applications for research grants,” says Yana Vysotskaya, Director of the Division of International Educational Programs at UrFU.

The university is expecting a return visit from Indian colleagues based on the results of a business trip by university staff. The delegation included representatives from the Graduate School of Economics and Management and the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems.

UrFU professors Ebenezer Agbozo and Ekaterina Demchenko held online lectures on data analysis and international marketing. At the official meetings, university staff spoke about the opportunities for admission to UrFU, the English-language Master’s degree programs, and summer schools. The students were especially interested in studying Russian at the UrFU Preparatory Department for Foreign Students.

“We saw an unexpectedly high interest in learning the Russian language and Russian culture in general. You can see that the guys are not afraid to try new things: they are ready to come in winter to see the snow and get acquainted with winter sports. This inspires us to create new opportunities for international students,” emphasizes Maria Mukoseeva, Head of the Preparatory Department.

In addition, the delegation met with graduates of summer schools and programs of Ural Federal University, who shared their professional achievements.
