“Today’s award winners are those of whom Ekaterinburg is proud, the city that creates the solid foundation for our future. I see it as a sign that three centuries of Ekaterinburg’s history is just the beginning. We still have a long way to go,” stressed Aleksey Orlov, the Mayor of Ekaterinburg.

The winner was determined through a rating study of the most mentioned people, companies and brands of Ekaterinburg in the global and Russian media in 2021, due to which the capital of the Ural is becoming more recognizable outside the Sverdlovsk Region. The analysis of quotability was conducted among federal and world media, such as Kommersant, TASS, RBK, Vedomosti, Interfax, etc.
