Ural Federal University: University Students Entry the National Arm Wrestling Team

On March 3-5 the Russian Arm Wrestling Championship was held in Orel. Ural Federal University students Anton Petrov, Alexey Zadiraka and Dmitry Luchinin took part in the competition. All athletes won prizes.

“Anton Petrov in the 90+ kg weight category won two first places in the left hand and biathlon and second place in the right hand. Aleksey Zadiraka in the 80 kg weight category won three silvers – on both hands and in biathlon. Both students were selected for the national team. Dmitry Luchinin placed third in the left hand in the 65 kg weight category”, says Valery Filin, Ural Federal University senior arm wrestling instructor.

Note that the Russian team will not take part in the European Championship – 2022, but the team plans to go to the World Arm Wrestling Championship (championship) in arm wrestling and para-arm wrestling, which will be held in Turkey.
