Students of the Ural Federal University from Afghanistan received payments of 25 thousand rubles each. The university helped students who found themselves in a difficult situation due to the situation in their home country. In addition, the students will be allocated places in dormitories.

“Payments are being gradually delivered. In total, there are 30 students from Afghanistan studying at the university. Twenty-two of them who are in Russia have received the payment. The rest will definitely receive help when they come back to Russia”, said Dmitry Loevsky, Deputy First Vice Rector of UrFU.

Students from Afghanistan note: it is very pleasant and valuable that UrFU took care of them in a difficult situation.

“With the money that the university helped us with, we were able to pay for the dormitory, as well as insurance and vaccines for the new academic year. I thank the university for not leaving us alone,” said student Tahira Mohammadi.
