Ural Federal University: University Will Host an Environmental Inclusive Camp
Youth Environmental Volunteer Inclusive Camp will begin on August 11th on the shore of Verkh-Isetsky Reservoir. This year the project is truly inter-regional, the participants of the camp will be representatives not only of the Sverdlovsk Region, but also of the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Ulyanovsk Region.
For four days people with disabilities, people in difficult life situations, as well as volunteers and project partners will clean the shores of the pond, inclusive seminars and sports activities, thematic workshops and master classes, as well as environmental actions, in a tent camp on the bank of the pond in Ekaterinburg (on the Baran Peninsula, Verkh-Isetsky Pond). Each day will have its own theme. The first day (August 11) will be devoted to ecology, August 12 – creativity, August 13 – social design, August 14 – Day of the athlete. On the last day, an online event involving Lugansk State University is planned.
“Every day there will be master classes, creative activities, environmental actions and lectures. Lectures will be given by experts in the field of inclusion and ecology. For example, on the first day with a lecture “Urban ecology and environmental problems of today” will be delivered by Vladimir Vershinin, doctor of biological sciences, teacher at UrFU”, says Alyona Nevolina, Head of the Department of Academic Development at UrFU, one of the organizers of the event.
