Ural Federal University: University Will Strengthen Cooperation with Kyrgyz Partner
The Ural Federal University will support academic mobility and the creation of joint educational programs with the largest university of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The directions of cooperation were discussed yesterday by representatives of Ural Federal University with a delegation from Osh State University.
“We are ready to help and cooperate in many areas. For example, we see the creation of joint network programs as promising. These are excellent opportunities for sharing experiences and using best practices from both sides,” emphasized Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.
Cooperation between Ural Federal University and Osh State University has been developing for more than 10 years. The universities jointly train master’s degree students in the field of Energy and support projects in the field of science and education.
“We were very impressed by your university and its scale. The fact that you are dealing with the economy of the entire region and Russia as a whole. I hope that after our visit the relationship will reach a new level and we will continue our fruitful cooperation. And, of course, we are waiting for you with a visit to the city of Osh,” said Rector of Osh State University Kudayberdi Kojobekov.
More than 26,000 students study at Osh State University, and 76 specialties are open to them. The university develops digital educational technologies and demonstrates a high reputation in the Central Asian region.
The Ural Federal University is developing partnerships with 15 universities, research centers, and organizations of Kyrgyzstan. There are 55 students who are citizens of the republic studying at Ural Federal University. The most popular fields of study are Metallurgy, Material Science, Chemistry, and Organization of Work with Youth. The university has a Kyrgyz community.
