Ural Federal University: UrFU Is the Ninth In Russia According To the Employer Demand For Graduates
The Ural Federal University ranked 9th among Russian universities by the level of employers’ demand for graduates. Compared to last year, UrFU moved up by one position in the new RAEX-100 ranking according to this indicator.
“We do everything possible to ensure that our graduates are in demand by employers and have the opportunity to fulfill themselves in their profession to the maximum. Our partners include the country’s leading industrial enterprises. Together with them, the university improves the educational process, and develops and implements advanced educational programs. Also together with our partners we actively develop such significant projects as “Career Time”, “Engineering Reconstruction”, “IT Peak”. Their aim is to develop a direct employer-student connection. In the course of such actions students get a clear idea of the labor market and requirements from employers,” notes Victor Koksharov, rector of UrFU.
RAEX university rankings have been published annually since 2012. Their purpose is to assess the ability of universities to provide their graduates with high quality knowledge, skills and abilities, based on the conditions for their acquisition and application results. RAEX used statistical indicators, as well as the results of surveys of more than 85,000 participants: representatives of academic and scientific circles, students and graduates, employers. In 2022, 206 higher educational institutions out of 704 operating in Russia claimed places in the ranking. The Ural Federal University managed to improve its position in the overall ranking – at the end of 2021 the university moved up one line, taking 11th place in Russia.
