The Ural Federal University took 6th place in the new rating of universities participating in the Vladimir Potanin Foundation Scholarship Program. In addition, UrFU once again took 1st place among all federal universities of Russia.

Traditionally, the ranking evaluated the quality of the educational environment of 75 institutions of higher education participating in the Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program. The rating presents an independent assessment of the quality of education at universities. It is based not only on academic indicators, but also on the analysis of the potential of universities in the development of the intra-university environment, which stimulates professional and personal growth. When preparing the rating, the Foundation uses statistical indicators of universities’ participation in competitions of the Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program, pursuing, among other things, a utilitarian goal – rotation of universities participating in the program.

“This is a very good result for the university, a proof of the high quality of our educational services, scientific research, the way our students develop and have the opportunity to realize themselves in the university. Ural Federal University pays great attention to supporting talent, and in this matter cooperation with the Potanin Foundation is very important to us. Our students have been participating in the Foundation’s Scholarship Program for many years now, and we are doing our best to increase the number of such students,” says Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.

As a reminder, the Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program has existed since 2000. It brings together professionals from higher education and related fields who are ready to contribute to society and ensure the sustainability of change.
