Ural Federal University: UrFU Took Part in the Study in Russia Virtual Educational Fair
On July 26 and 27, the Ural Federal University took part in the Study in Russia virtual educational fair on the fair.studyinrussia.online online platform. The project was organized by the Russian University of Friendship (RUDN University) to promote the leading Russian universities in the international educational market and to attract talented international applicants. The project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
In total, 30 Russian universities took part in the event. Each university had the opportunity to test and experience the specially designed virtual platform, communicate with potential applicants and join a series of thematic webinars (Medical, Agrarian, Technical and Engineering, Humanities and Social Studies).
More than 1,000 applicants and parents from different countries – Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nepal, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mali, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uganda, Uzbekistan and Zambia – attended the fair.
The opening ceremony was also conducted in a virtual format, with the following welcoming speeches by Larisa Efremova, Vice-rector for International Affairs of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), Maria-Luisa Ramos Urzagaste, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Plurinational State of Bolivia to the Russian Federation, and Sajid Kadiri, Master’s student in Law and representative of the Association of International Students of Belgorod.
The applicants had an opportunity to get acquainted with a great deal of highly capable official representatives of the Russian universities, study their world-class programs, admission and study conditions, get the answers to their questions, and become closer in choosing the future place of study.
The universities managed to reach the advanced level of promotion of their programs and gained valuable experience.
