Ural Federal University: Workshops, Games, and Cake: the Radio Faculty Opened the Jubilee Year

On February 25, the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems of UrFU celebrated its 70th anniversary. On that day, 400 students and applicants took part in a special event and immersed themselves in the “Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems Ural Federal University Metaworld”. 25 master classes and lectures from 12 partner companies of the institute were held for everyone interested in IT and radioelectronics.

Part of the program was devoted to the educational opportunities of the Institute. Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems leaders and professors talked about how the world and professions are changing and how the institute is adapting to these changes.

“The world is changing, as fast as ever and as slowly as it will never change again. Manufacturing is changing, technology is diffusing. We try to make sure that our programs meet the challenges of the times, so that the student can change the trajectory of learning, so that the student is motivated to learn better,” said Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems Director Ilya Obabkov.

Participants were able to get nice prizes from the institute, and the culmination was a celebratory 15-kilogram cake, which could try all comers.
