Ural Federal University’s China-Russia Institute Graduates First Master’s Students
The Chinese-Russian Institute hosted the defense of master’s theses of 11 Chinese students who successfully completed the Master’s program “Industrial and Civil Engineering” and received diplomas from UrFU.
This year the Chinese-Russian Institute of the UrFU also hosted the defense of theses of bachelor students of the joint educational programs with the North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power.
On July 1, all the graduates who were present at UrFU took part in the ceremony, received their diplomas on the square in front of the main building of UrFU and joyfully threw their academic caps into the air.
“It is great that the governments of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China support international cooperation and I have the opportunity to enroll in the joint educational program Architecture, which is jointly implemented, and get two diplomas from two universities” – says Kang Ning, graduate of the Bachelor of Architecture program.
The Ural Federal University within the framework of the Sino-Russian Institute implements three educational projects with Chinese universities: North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower and Hainan College of Economics and Business. Nine joint bachelor’s and three master’s programs are being implemented.
“Studying at the Ural Federal University gave me a lot: excellent mentors – teachers, interesting scientific research. I received three patents for scientific inventions, active student life and in sports and various student activities, – says Xiao Shotin, a graduate of the Master’s program, – the Chinese-Russian Institute gave me an excellent start for further scientific development and postgraduate studies.”
