Ural Federal University’s Volural Promotion Team Visits Different Cities of the Region

The University International Sports Festival will be held in Ekaterinburg soon. This is a unique opportunity not only for athletes from different countries, but also for the volunteer movement. The promotion team of the Volural (Volunteers of the Urals) has been holding meetings with various movements in the region for several months.

Since June 29, the volunteers have visited seven places in the Sverdlovsk region: Krasnoufimsk, Reftinsky, Nizhny Tagil, Beloyarsky, Asbest, Oktyabrsky, Kamensk-Uralsky district and Berezovsky. Volunteers talked to interested residents: they told them about the upcoming festival and volunteer activities, answered questions, and helped those who wanted to register.

The team notes that it was interesting to interact with the young volunteers as they had participated in such events before and knew most of the functional areas in which the volunteers are involved.

“The University International Sports Festival is a landmark event for both the city and the region. We are very happy that not only Ekaterinburg residents, but also citizens of our region and other regions of Russia are applying to become volunteers. We are sure that participation in the festival will be an opportunity for volunteers to gain and share valuable experience. The UrFU volunteer team is always ready to share useful experience. Of course, we are looking forward to seeing everyone at the festival,” says Maxim Strogalev, the Director of Volural.
