UrFU and Baku State University Identify New Areas for Collaboration

The Ural Federal University is interested in developing cooperation with the Baku State University (BSU) in the framework of joint scientific research, joint organization of scientific events, and professional development programs. Moreover, the Ural Federal University is interested in cooperation between the Center for Azerbaijan Studies and the Russian Center of BSU.

During the visit, a round table was held with the heads of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology and the Faculty of History. The UrFU representatives discussed with colleagues from BSU the possibilities of joint work on the following projects, the topics of mutual interest:

  • cooperation within the scope of the strategic project “Human well-being in the context of digital transformation”;
  • cooperation within the project “Diaspora communities and migration processes in the context of transformation of the global political system and world economic relations”;
  • studying demographic processes and family history in Eurasia in modern and contemporary era;
  • research in the field of professional development psychology (active professional longevity of a teacher, crises of loss of profession by a teacher, psychology of stress and coping behavior);
  • research in the field of cognitive psychology and psychophysiology of cognitive processes;
  • psychological and subjective well-being at different ages and in different occupational groups.

Moreover, the Ural Federal University invited colleagues from Baku State University to submit articles for publication in the journals of the Ural Humanities Institute (UrFU) on humanities. They also held a presentation of UrFU humanities journals.

The UrFU representatives have also invited colleagues from the BSU to participate in 2024 in such international scientific events at UrFU as:

  • International forum “Cognitive neurosciences”;
  • UrFU International Convention;
  • Ural historical-archival forum Interdisciplinary Aspects of the Study of Human Well-Being;
  • II International conference of Orientalists “Ways and Countries: Civilizations of the East in Historical Dynamics” etc.

In addition, the meeting with students who specialize in Psychology took place at BSU as a part of the visit. The presentation of UrFU was delivered and a workshop “Possibilities of cognitive-behavioral therapy in working with anxiety” presented by UrFU scientist was held.
