UrFU Faculty of History Celebrates 85 Years of Academic Excellence

On December 16, a large-scale celebration of the anniversary took place in the Ural cultural center. The alumni of the Faculty Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU (alumnus of 1986), Dmitry Bugrov, First Vice-Rector (alumnus of 1984), Sergey Tushin, Vice-Rector for International Relations (alumnus of 1994), and Dmitry Loevsky, Vice-Rector for Educational Work (alumnus of 2002), opened the event with congratulatory speeches.

Alumni, former professors, current staff and students of the Faculty of History came to congratulate the dear and beloved jubilee. The punk opera “Stone Flower” for the 300th anniversary of Ekaterinburg became a special part of the celebration. All the people warmly reminisced about their student years at the Faculty of History. They were endlessly happy to meet and communicate with old friends, comrades, classmates and professors. Everyone sang the hymn of the History Faculty of UrSU-URFU “Eagle of the Sixth Legion” and chanted only one, but the most valuable and sacred for all involved: “Istfak is a Champion”!

Elvira Symanyuk, Head of UrFU’s Ural Institute of Humanities, and the directors of eight departments also congratulated everyone involved on such an occasion.
