UrFU Ranks Among Leaders in Rospatent Rating

The Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) summarized the results of 2023. According to the evaluation, UrFU took second place among the universities that filed applications for inventions. It is worth noting that the university has shown a steady growth in performance. While in 2022 there were just over 100 applications, in 2023 there were 127 applications.

“Entering the top three in the field of inventions is the result of the great work of the University’s inventors. It is important that along with the high activity of scientific and pedagogical staff in filing initiative applications, the number of applications for inventions created within the framework of strategic projects of the University has increased by almost an order of magnitude in the past 2023. First of all, this refers to the projects of the Priority 2030 program. The reserves in this area have not been exhausted yet, and this year UrFU will continue to develop motivational mechanisms and tools for organizational and methodological support of inventive activity,” said Dmitry Shulgin, Director of the UrFU Training and Research Center for Intellectual Property.
