USAID’s Assistant to the Administrator Shannon Green met government officials, civil society groups, and representatives from diverse communities

In Kathmandu USAID’s Assistant to the Administrator Shannon Green met with elected women parliamentarians & women leaders who not only shared about their triumphs and vision for Nepal but the struggle for women’s representation in the political landscape.

Green also met with the Office of the Prime Ministers’s Secretary Ganesh Pandey & CEO of the e-governance Commission Dipesh Bista, reaffirming USAID’s commitment to bolster Nepal’s accountability mechanisms and recognizing its progress toward Open Government Partnership.

Green met marginalized women farmers & local leaders, witnessing the impact of USAID’s Local Works in Nepal. Their inspiring ideas for overcoming challenges & promoting development through skill-building are remarkable.

Green also met with passionate private-sector leaders in #Nepal who are combating human trafficking and supporting survivors through responsible business practices, ethical sourcing, and job creation programs.
