USP Approves Hiring of Additional 168 Technical and Administrative Employees
The USP Rectory authorized the hiring of an additional 168 technical and administrative employees. This number refers to the replacement of employees who left the University (retirements, dismissals or deaths) in 2023.
Teaching and Research Units, Specialized Institutes and Museums are already being informed about the new vacancies that will be made available.
Since the beginning of the current administration, in 2022, added to last year’s numbers, the hiring of 765 employees has already been authorized.
“When we took over as Rector, our commitment to the academic community was to replace the staff, after a period in which we faced a financial imbalance at the University and the Covid-19 pandemic, which prevented us from hiring new teachers. and technical and administrative employees for almost ten years”, considers rector Carlos Gilberto Carlotti Junior.
Of the total of 597 vacancies granted for the years 2022 and 2023, 244 employees have already been hired and another 100 are expected to be hired next May. For the remaining vacancies, public competitions are ongoing.
On April 9, 116 newly hired technical and administrative employees participated in a reception promoted by the Human Resources Department (DRH) of the University’s General Administration Coordination (Codage).
The meetings took place on USP campuses in the capital and in the interior, where there are also new employees. For each new server, this was an opportunity to get to know USP better, its history, structure and social importance, and understand their role in fulfilling this mission.
