UST sets up IT Lab at Govt UPS Eanchakkal under ‘Adopt A School’ CSR initiative
Thiruvananthapuram: UST, a leading digital transformation solutions company, that has been channelling corporate social responsibility efforts towards providing better infrastructure to schools, has added another feather to its cap with the setting up of an IT Lab at the Govt. UPS, at Eanchakkal in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
As part of its ‘Adopt A School’ CSR programme, the company handed over desktop computers and furniture, along with setting up a state of the art IT Lab at the school. The Adopt A School initiative has come a long way since roll out, and this year alone, UST has provided necessary classroom infrastructure and set up IT labs in more than 25 schools.
A function organised to handover the IT Lab and other infrastructure was attended by Shilpa Menon, Centre Head, UST Thiruvananthapuram. Vineeth Mohanan, CSR Finance Lead, Roshni Das K, Lead – PR & Marketing -Kerala; DT Rajesh Kumar Ramachandran, QA Head; Pradeep Joseph, Delivery Manager; Maneesh Masood, UI Lead, were among those who were present from UST, while Ajimsha MA, Headmaster; Divya RS, Lab-in-charge; and other authorities participated from Govt UPS Eanchakkal.
“UST has rolled out its Adopt A School programme under its CSR initiatives and has provided necessary infrastructure to a large number of schools already. This year alone, as many as 25 schools have received support under the programme. We are happy that our CSR team has set up a new IT Lab and donated desktop computers and furniture to the Govt UPS Eanchakkal. UST expects this initiative to help students pursuing IT education in a major way,” said Shilpa Menon, Centre Head, UST Thiruvananthapuram.
The project for Govt UPS Eanchakkal was planned and coordinated by Sofi Janet, CSR Ambassador, and Vineeth Mohanan, CSR Finance Lead, UST.
