UTMN: UTMN Joins Soongsil University International Center Grand Opening

The University of Tyumen took part in the official opening of the International Center at the Soongsil University (Republic of Korea). The event was held in a mixed format.



Vice-Rector for International Relations Yekaterina Sechenova and Director of the Korean Center Nadezhda Petrova joined the event online.

Currently, two students of the University of Tyumen are studying at Soongsil University under the Semester Abroad exchange program: Natalia Litvinenko (Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Diana Ismakova (Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences). Maria Sokolkova, a graduate student of the Institute of State and Law, is also undergoing a research internship at the university. Maria showed great academic achievement and won the President of RF Scholarships to train abroad.

Diana Ismakova notes that studying abroad helps to gain experience in cross-cultural communication and language practice.

Soongsil University has been a partner university of the University of Tyumen since 2019.
