UTMN: Working meeting with Korean Partner University representative held at UTMN

The meeting was attended by Andrey Patrushev and Ekaterina Sechenova, vice-rectors of the University of Tyumen, Nadezhda Petrova, head of the Korean Center of UTMN and Tatiana Matrosova, director of the Center for International Education of our University.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss activities under a cooperation agreement and the implementation of double degree programs.

Kim Jong Ho, in particular, emphasized that he had repeatedly heard positive feedback about UTMN from employees of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Korea in Russia. The professor said that he hoped for the implementation of the project of a joint international college.

“We support the desire of Tyumen citizens to study Korean. In their turn, Korean students also need to learn the Russian culture and it’s language. It will be useful for their future careers,” Kim Jong Ho said.

Ekaterina Sechenova confirmed that students are always interested in studying at Korean universities. Today, two students are in the Republic of Korea under the academic exchange program, in the second semester of the current academic year, several more will go, one of whom is going to study at Inha University.

After the negotiation, Kim Jong Ho visited X-BIO and see modern laboratory equipment.
