Norbert Corver
Norbert Corver is Professor of Dutch Linguistics. He studies the syntactic structure of natural languages from a comparative perspective. He focuses on the question which properties languages have in common, as well as on the question how they can differ from each other. With his research, he tries to contribute to a theory of natural language that aims to explain the scope and restrictions on syntactic variation. These research questions are also central to his NWO project ‘Mind your Manner Adverbials!’, which will start soon.
