Vigilance Awareness Week concludes Panel discussion “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of independent India, Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated at Malaviya National Institute of Technology from 4th to 8th November.2024. Various programs were organized during this period. The event was concluded by a panel discussion in which Prof. N. P. Padhy, Chairman, BoG and Director, MNIT Jaipur, Sh. Anuj Mathur, Major General, Sh. Samrendra Singh Sikharwar, ADJ, Sh. Ajaypal Lamba, IG Police, and Dr. Manju Meena, Dy. Director, Doordarshan were the panelists. More than 200 participants were present in this event.
During the panel discussion, it was discussed that technology may be used to provide transparency to both government and non-government institutions. It was also discussed that in order to become developed nation, everyone must be sensitive, transparent, and accountable. Prof. N. P. Padhy emphasized that educational institutions play a crucial role in guiding society in the correct path and academic integrity becomes fully necessary and significant when the nation advances in its research orientation. Sh. Samrendra Singh Sikharwar, Additional District Judge said that the judiciary is committed to the society. There is a complete system of punishment for wrongdoing in the Indian judiciary system.Dr. Manju Meena focused on how media is helping in bringing out the right and wrong in front of the society. Major General Anuj Mathur sharing his experiences that the highest standards of integrity are practiced in the Indian Army. Shri Ajay Pal Lamba Said how the common people can take help from the administration to eradicate corruption.
On this occasion, Chief Vigilance Officer, Prof. G. S. Dangayach thanked all the dignitaries and participants. For various activities held during the week, about 30 winners including students and staff members of MNIT Jaipur were awarded in the closing ceremony.
